SODIUM-24, LLC was founded by Malcolm Stagg in 2019, stemming from his competition in the DARPA Spectrum Collaboration Challenge (SC2) and the DARPA Subterranean Challenge (SubT).

SODIUM-24 was a one-man team in DARPA SC2, and SODIUM-24 Robotics is a current one-man team competing in DARPA SubT.

Malcolm has been passionate about electronics for many years, and has worked in various fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, computer vision, and most recently, software-defined radio.

Malcolm graduated with degrees in electrical and computer engineering from LSU. While at LSU, he gained experience working with a research group on computer vision and machine learning problems. After graduation, he worked for nearly four years as a software engineer at Microsoft.

In addition to competing in these DARPA competitions, Malcolm is also an active member of the Synack Red Team and continues to work on cybersecurity research.

SODIUM-24, LLC is focused on applying innovative solutions to difficult problems like these.
